Movies are a great way to convey our history to future generations. Films dealing with the subject of the Holocaust were produced from the early 1940s before the extent of the Holocaust was widely known and have continued to be made since then. After the halocaust, it was films that brought the Genocide of the Jews to public knowledge. It is with this medium that Tamils can create awareness of their struggles to the outside world. Tamil’s struggle against Sri Lanka’s Genocide has not only huge number of painful stories to tell but also stories with bravery, sacrifices as well. It’s our responsibility to share these memories with future generations of Diaspora Tamils. History is always a great teacher and it will help our next generation to succeed.
