Salt shortage : Govt allows Imports

The Sri Lankan Cabinet has approved the import of up to 30,000 metric tons of unprocessed salt through the Sri Lanka State Trading Corporation. According to the Cabinet Spokesperson Minister Nalinda Jayatissa, the import must be completed by January 31, 2025.



Personal motor vehicle imports from February next year

Import of motor vehicles for personal use will be allowed from February 1, 2025, President Anura Kumara Dissanayake said. The President informed Parliament that vehicle imports would be allowed in three stages, as previously planned.
